Horizon Health Advisors — private health coverage specialists

Private health coverage specialists

Coverage explained before it is sold.

Health insurance is confusing in ways that are convenient for whoever is selling it. Horizon Health Advisors does the opposite: you get the options laid out in plain language, what each one actually covers, and what it would cost you — then you decide, in your own time.

Independent, so the advice can be

An independent agent is not tied to one insurer's shelf. That matters less as a slogan than as a practical thing: the conversation can start with what you need rather than with what somebody has to move this month.

Plain language, on purpose

Deductible, coinsurance, network, out-of-pocket maximum — four words that decide what you actually pay, and most quotes bury all four. You will get them explained once, properly, so the numbers you are comparing mean the same thing.

No pressure, and no rush

Nothing here auto-dials you or drips you emails. You ask a question, you get an answer. If the right move is to stay on the plan you already have, that is a perfectly good outcome.

Who this tends to help

Three situations this comes up in most

  • People who are self-employed or between jobs and are buying their own cover for the first time.
  • Families comparing options where the network — which doctors and hospitals are in it — matters more than the headline monthly figure.
  • Anyone who has been quoted something they do not understand and wants it read back to them in English before they sign it.

Eligibility for any particular plan depends on where you live and on your circumstances, so the honest answer to “what would I pay” is always: let us look at your situation first.

Start with a question

Tell me what you have now, or what you have been offered, and what you are trying to work out. That is enough to get a useful answer back.
